How to fix the above certificate warning ?
I saw the above warning while trying to access WHM in my browser using https:// and WHM secure port 2087. 2086 is WHM non SSL port and 2087 is secure port.
link to access WHM using non SSL port : http://YourServerIP:2086
link to access WHM using SSL port : https://YourServerIP:2087
You will see the same certificate warning while accessing cPanel, webmail using SSL port (2083 and 2096 port). Error shows that the connection is not secure because your server certificate is self-signed or weak. SSL certificate is used to encrypt the data so that hackers wont be able to steal the data. SSL will encrypt the data and will also help to boost the search rankings.
SSL certificate might not be installed for your hostname and that is the reason why you are getting this error. You will see the same error if SSL is not installed correctly for your domain.
You can ignore this warning by accepting the server self signed certificate.
Click on “Add Exception” under “Advanced” and then accept the self signed server certificate like show in the below screenshots

Accept Server Self Signed Certificate
Click on “Confirm Security Exception” to proceed.
By doing the above steps you are just ignoring the warning by accepting the server certificate. The best way to fix this warning is by purchasing a SSL certificate for your server hostname. You can buy cheap SSL certificate for $4/year.
Buy the SSL certificate and install it for your server hostname through WHM.
