Deleted files but cPanel still shows Wrong Disk space Usage

I have deleted many files from cPanel but still cPanel home page shows incorrect “Disk Space Usage”.

How to fix the above disk SPace usage issue?

If you delete files under a cPanel account it will take some time to reflect these changes in “Disk Space Usage”. On cPanel Servers Disk usage and other stats are saved as cache for immediate results so if you remove a file it wont be reflected immediately in cPanel Disk Space Usage.

I tried to logout from cPanel, refreshed cPanel page to check whether ‘Disk Space Usage’ updated. Still the disk space usage was showing incorrect.

Click on “Disk space usage” icon under “Files” and it will take few minutes to finish. Go back to the cpanel home page and now “Disk Space Usage” will be correctly shown in cPanel.

OR

If you have server root access then try to restart the cPanel service using command “service cpanel restart”. After cPanel service restart check the ‘Disk Space Usage’ of the cPanel account under cPanel stats.
