How to Set Server Time and Timezone on cPanel/WHM Server

1. Login to WHM as root

You must have server root access to set the time and timezone on cPanel Server. Link to access WHM (WebHost Manager) : https://YourHostname:2087

“YourHostname” in the above link should be replaced with actual hostname of the server.
 

 
2. Enter WHM username and password to login.

In the username field enter : root. In the password field enter the root password of the server provided by your webhosting company.
 

 
3. Click on ‘Server Time’ under ‘Server Configuration’

4. Set the timezone in ‘Configure Timezone’

Under “Configure Timezone” you can see different timezones in dropdown. Select the timezone you wish to set and click on “Change TimeZone”.
 

 
5. Click on “Sync Time With Timeserver”

Sync Time With Timeserver if time is showing incorrect. Clicking “Sync Time With Timeserver” will synchronize server time with time server.
