I got the above error message while trying to switch to server as root user.

5. Click on ‘Disable Protection’ to Disable Shell Fork Bomb Protection
admin@server [~]# sudo su –

sudo: PERM_ROOT: setresuid(0, -1, -1): too many processes
FIX :
You must temporarily disable Shell Fork Bomb Protection to fix the above error.
1. Log in to WHM using root password. Open a new web browser and type the link http://serverIP:2086 to access WHM.
2. Enter username and password to login
3. Search for ‘Shell Fork Bomb Protection’ in WHM search box
4. Click on ‘Shell Fork Bomb Protection’ under ‘Security Center’
